Justia.com has launched a free, searchable database of federal district court opinions and orders, updated daily. The opinions are categorized by state, court, type of lawsuit and judge. Best of all, you can subscribe to RSS feeds to be updated on new cases in particular categories, such as “Contracts,” “Torts/Injury” or “Civil Rights,” or track the opinions of a particular judge. The site uses a Google custom search engine for the full text search feature.
Justia also offers a related district court filings database with RSS updating as well. Other Justia features include federal regulation tracking and a U.S. Supreme Court Center that’s a collection of opinions, oral arguments, and links to numerous relevant blogs.
