Extended Library hours for Reading and Exam period
To accommodate additional studying needs, the library hours for Langdell will be extended during the reading and exam period beginning Sunday, December 2nd to Thursday, December 21st. The hours are listed below:
Langdell
Beginning at 8:00 a.m. December 2nd and ending at 6:00p.m. December 21st, the Langdell section of the Law School Library will be open 24 hours a day. Services will be available during the following hours:
Langdell
Monday-Friday: 7:00a.m-2:00a.m.
Saturday-Sunday: 8:00a.m.-2:00a.m.
ILS
Monday-Thursday: 8:00a.m-Midnight
Friday: 8:00 a.m.- 9:00p.m.
Saturday: 8:30a.m-9:00 p.m.
Sunday: 9:00a.m-Midnight
*Thursday, December 21st both Langdell and ILS will close at 6:00p.m.

**During the Reading and Exam period, the library has a restricted access policy. Only Harvard Law School affiliates and people with a specific need to use the collection are admitted during this time. The Law School Library is not to be used as a general study hall space for those not directly affiliated with the Law School.

From July 29th through September 3rd we have shortened hours, although we are remaining open on weekends by popular demand.

International Legal Studies is closed on weekends.

Please note that the Library is closed Memorial Day weekend, Saturday, May 26 through Monday May 28th. Next week we continue Recess Hours, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., closing at 5 p.m. on Friday. The full details of our hours can be found here.
For all of you studying for the bar, here are our expanded June and July hours:
June 2nd - July 28th, 2007
Monday - Thursday 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m.
Friday 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Sunday 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
International Legal Studies closes at 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday, 5 p.m. on Friday, and is closed on weekends.
The Library is closed on Wednesday, July 4th, in observance of Independence Day.
Extended hours at Langdell during exams
To accommodate the extra study needs of HLS students during exam time, the Langdell side of the Law Library will keep its doors open around the clock.
Beginning Sunday, April 29 at 9:00 a.m. and ending Thursday, May 16 at 6:00 p.m. the Law library will be open for Extended and Restricted Service Hours. In addition, during this period, the second (ground) floor will be available for Harvard Law students to use 24 hours a day. All other floors will start closing at 1:30 a.m. Law students entering the Library after 2:00 a.m. must enter the building via the Areeda ramps located between Areeda Hall and Langdell.
During Extended and Restricted Service Hours, access is restricted to members of the Law School community and collection users. During Late Night Hours, access is restricted to members of the Law School community only.

Sunday 8:00a.m.-2:00a.m.
Monday-Friday 7:00a.m-2:00a.m.
Saturday 8:30a.m.-2:00a.m.
