Something to think about as you’re making summer reading selections on Amazon’s website:  Publishing giant Elsevier was recently discovered to have offered $25 a pop to anyone willing to post a 5-star review on Amazon of Elsevier’s own publication.  Of course, turns out the offer, made to contributors to a textbook, was just a “poorly written email” by a “overzealous employee.” Well, that’s what Elsevier’s marketing department says, anyway.  Read the whole thing.
