Extended and Restricted Service Hours May 2007

Extended hours at Langdell during exams

To accommodate the extra study needs of HLS students during exam time, the Langdell side of the Law Library will keep its doors open around the clock.

Beginning Sunday, April 29 at 9:00 a.m. and ending Thursday, May 16 at 6:00 p.m. the Law library will be open for Extended and Restricted Service Hours. In addition, during this period, the second (ground) floor will be available for Harvard Law students to use 24 hours a day.  All other floors will start closing at 1:30 a.m.  Law students entering the Library after 2:00 a.m. must enter the building via the Areeda ramps located between Areeda Hall and Langdell.

During Extended and Restricted Service Hours, access is restricted to members of the Law School community and collection users. During Late Night Hours, access is restricted to members of the Law School community only.

Extended and Restricted Service Hours for Langdell side of HLSL:

Sunday 8:00a.m.-2:00a.m.
Monday-Friday 7:00a.m-2:00a.m.
Saturday 8:30a.m.-2:00a.m. 

Extended and Restricted Service Hours for ILS side of HLSL:

Sunday 9:00a.m.-Midnight
Mon.-Thus.  8:00a.m.- Midnight
Friday 8:00a.m.-9:00p.m.
Saturday 8:30-9:00p.m.

Late Night Hours for Langdell Second Floor:

Sunday 2 a.m.-8:00 a.m.
Monday-Friday 2 a.m.-7 a.m.
Saturday 2 a.m. -8:30 a.m.

Please note that there are no library services available during Late Night Hours.  We hope the extended schedule will accommodate the extra study needs of the HLS student body and affiliates and wish you luck on your upcoming exams!
