Boston Public Library to offer music downloads

As reported in yesterday’s Boston Globe, the Boston Public Library is “sharing Boston’s local music scene through the Internet by adding albums of area bands to its online collection of audio books, music, and videos.”

The Boston Public Library also plans to share music from the local scene with libraries around the world, giving local musicians “a potential global audience.” To learn more about the Boston music scene, see this Boston Magazine article entitled “Rock This Way.” The BPL digital catalog can be found here.
