Take a walk on the ghoulish side of legal research, and check out Dying Speeches and Bloody Murders, Harvard Law School Library’s collection of eighteenth- and nineteenth-century British crime broadsides.
Today’s “Scout Report,”describes it as an “engaging and fascinating collection … that will engage the attention of historians, legal scholars, and anyone with an interest in the history of crime and punishment.” These historical documents are just one of the fascinating holdings of HLS Library’s Digital and Special Collections, and were digitized and shared with the world with the help of a grant from the Peck Stacpoole Foundation.
