Today was Open Access Day, a global celebration of the open access movement organized by SPARC, Students for Free Culture and PLoS. Check out the Open Access Day website for more information about related activities. Our own Berkman Center for Internet and Society joined in the celebration.
The law school has taken important steps related to the open access movement: the launching of a peer-reviewed open access journal by Harvard University Press, Journal of Legal Analysis (first issue to be released soon) and a faculty mandate for posting their articles online for free. We will keep you posted on additional developments!
If you are interested in keeping up with issues related to open access, Open Access News and Open Access Archivangelism are two great sources for keeping up with the latest developments.
