Alternate title: The Office of the Federal Register Borrows Doc Brown’s Time-Travelling Delorean to Bring to the Public Tomorrow’s Federal Register, Today
On November 19th, the Office of the Federal Register announced the creation of the Electronic Public Inspection Desk to provide immediate, public access to all on-file documents before they are published in the Federal Register. Historically, a citizen would have to visit the Office of the Federal Register in Washington to view the physical copies before their publication. Now, all you need is a computer, an internet connection, and the knowhow to type www.federalregister.gov into your web browser.
