Stimulus Package: Now in Bite-Size, Easy-to-Chew Pieces

Curious about the stimulus package, also known as “The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009,” but can’t think of a way to squeeze the 1,071 page document into your reading schedule? Lucky for you, ProPublica has parsed the package into digestible chunks, including dividing the Act into “taxes” (i.e., tax cuts) and “spending” sections.

ProPublica also offers a breakdown comparing the House, Senate and conference versions of the bill..

Also handy is the Democratic Policy Committee’s state-by-state breakdown . And, of course, don’t forget the Recovery.gov site, designed to be the “main vehicle to provide each and every citizen with the ability to monitor the progress of the recovery.”
