HLS at the Olympics

The HLS Library has created a whimsical visual narrative to promote the Olympics.

First, at least nine HLS graduates have competed at the Olympics. Perhaps the most notable alumnus is two-time gold medalist Dick Button (’55), who signed on to skate the Ice Capades during law school vacations.

Second, for HLS students and alumni who may never make it to the Olympics, there is a place for you near the podium. For example, lawyers are important for helping Olympic athletes negotiate sponsorship deals. For more information, see http://amlawdaily.typepad.com/amlawdaily/2010/02/winter-olympics.html.

In addition, lawyers are important for helping to protect the Olympic brand. This year, the International Olympic Committee plans to prevent “ambush marketing” by non-official Olympic sponsors. To learn more, check out the Guide to Olympic Brand Management.
