App of the Month: Lynda.com

Lynda.com LogoIf you have ever wanted to expand your technology skills, learn to use new software or simply get tips on topics ranging from Designing a Presentation to Acing Your Interview, Lynda.com has great resources to help you develop these new skills. And, now that Harvard has launched lyndaCampus, all University faculty, staff and students have access to the full range of Lynda.com tutorials.

Perhaps best of all for those users who like to learn on the go, Lynda.com also offers both an app and a mobile website so that you can continue your learning anywhere. In addition to the currently available iOS app for iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch users, an Android app is also in development. To use the app, you will first have to register your lyndaCampus account, which can be done on the lyndaCampus at Harvard University website. But, once you have registered your account, you can use the app to watch videos anywhere that you have a 3G, 4G or internet connection. Your account will sync across devices so you can start watching a tutorial at home and seamlessly pick up where you left off on your commute. This app is a great option for anyone who is interested in fitting these tutorials into an already busy schedule.
