Meet the HLS Library: Historical & Special Collections

While the Harvard Law School Library team eagerly awaits the day we can all gather in person, we’ve made a video to bring a part of HLSL to you! Spend a few minutes with Historical & Special Collections (HSC) and learn about its vast, unique, and occasionally surprising collections of legal materials spanning jurisdictions and centuries. Learn how HSC can help you with your research no matter who you are, or where you are.

Video: Welcome to Historical & Special Collections. Video cover image of students working in HSC’s reading room, the Root Room, by Brooks Kraft, 2014.

You can also view the video in handout form, including a transcript of the text and most of the video’s images.

Ready to learn more? Visit HSC’s website for a deeper dive into our collections, services, and how to get in touch. And check out HLSL’s YouTube channel for videos about the library, legal research, and much more.
