As the World Cup—the most important football tournament in the world–continues many questions remain about the state of the game. How prevalent is corruption? Why is the governing body not more willing to advocate for LGBTQIA+ rights and for worker well-being? What is future of a sport in which inequality continues to grow? How concerned is the sport about player welfare?
