Former Governor of Utah and Ambassador to China, Russia, and Singapore, Jon M. Huntsman, Jr., will be the featured speaker for CHINA Town Hall 2022, a national conversation on how the U.S.-China relationship affects our cities, towns, and communities, on November 16. From supply chains to national security, new technologies to climate change, the future of both countries will be determined by their relations with one another and the global community.

For the first hour (7–8 PM), the Harvard community will join more than 80 venues across the country for the Town Hall webcast, which will feature Ambassador Huntsman in conversation with National Committee on U.S.-China Relations President Stephen Orlins. The webcast will then be followed by on-site discussions (8–9 PM) with Lucy Hornby, veteran reporter and former FT deputy bureau chief in Beijing, about the U.S.-China relations and the issues that are having an impact on each local community, its institutions, and the people themselves.

Established in 1966, the National Committee on United States-China Relations is the leading American non-profit, non-partisan public affairs organization devoted to building constructive relations between the United States and Greater China.

Dinner will be provided. This event is open only to Harvard affiliates and RSVPs (Harvard ID will be required upon entry). Please RSVP at:
Community Partners at Harvard: Harvard College China Forum (HCCF), HLS China Law Association (CLA), Harvard Asian Pacific American Law Students Association (APALSA).
