Join the Harvard European Law Association for a panel on the Brussels Effect and the EU’s Open Strategic Autonomy.

Professor Bradford will discuss the European Union’s Open Strategic Autonomy – a concept that originated in the area of foreign and security policy, but that has become highly relevant for the other areas such as trade and digital regulation, and that stands up for the European Union’s attempt to reduce strategic dependencies, promote European values and create an environment in which European companies can compete at a regional and global level.

Professor Bradford will explore the implications of this concept on the Brussels’ effect, which could be defined as the European Union’s unilateral ability to regulate the global marketplace.

Lunch will be served!

This is a hybrid event. In addition to attending in-person, this event can be viewed by registering via Zoom at:
