On the evening of November 14, students in Professor Jon Hanson’s 1L torts class gathered in a transformed Ames Courtroom to celebrate the third annual Torty Awards. The award ceremony celebrated the student-created short video documentaries about how tort law might apply to social issues. Hanson designed and planned the project three years ago with his teaching team, which included Jacob Lipton, co-director, with Hanson, of the Systemic Justice Project. Entertainment, including song and dance, was provided by current and former students and class instructors.
