The DOJ Tax Division is currently accepting applications for its volunteer legal internship program for the Fall 2021 semester.  (At this time, the Division anticipates that we will continue to allow remote internships; however it is our understanding that the decision whether to allow academic credit for remote internships is up to each school.) As set forth in the announcement link below, the Division has openings for approximately 14 volunteer interns in Washington, DC and one volunteer in Dallas, TX –and the deadline for applications is May 1.

The Tax Division represents the United States in courts across the country in a wide spectrum of interesting and cutting-edge civil and criminal cases involving issues arising under federal tax law. Our Division is consistently ranked as one of the “Best Places to Work in the Federal Government” by the Partnership for Public Service. We seek to create a work environment and organizational culture that reflect the diversity of American society and that foster the success of every employee by appreciating and building upon the skills, experiences, and uniqueness that each employee brings to the workplace. As stated in our job posting, the U.S. Department of Justice is an Equal Opportunity/Reasonable Accommodation Employer, and we encourage applications from all interested eligible candidates.
